According to the CCUG, the type strain ATCC 700934 = CCUG 43621 = CIP 106679 = DSM 13171 does not fit the sequence published in the Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2000, 50, 1253-1258. The type strain is not displayed by the DSMZ, is displayed as Lactobacillus plantarum by the CIP and the CCUG, is displayed as Lactobacillus sp. by the JCM, but it is yet displayed (October 15, 2008) as Lactobacillus fornicalis by the ATCC.Publication:
